A Typical Day

A typical day at Camp Good Puppy...times are just to give an idea of what we do.

Times and activities may change due to severe weather, personalities of dogs staying and number of dogs here.

All play is supervised.

 

 



6:30 a.m. Boarding dogs out for morning walk.
7:00 a.m. Gates open and day care dogs arrive.
8:30 a.m. All dogs in kennels and given breakfast.
9:00 a.m. Gates close and any late arrivals up and fed.
9:30 a.m. Bunkhouse dogs out to front field.
10:30 a.m. Bunkhouse dogs inside (some in kennels, others on the couch)
11:00 a.m. Barn dogs out for walk and play, separated into groups of about 15 and rotated through the different fields.
1:00 p.m. Barn dogs in kennels. Afternoon nap is essential.
Lunch is given to puppies and those with special needs.*
2:30 p.m. Bunkhouse dogs out for afternoon walk.
3:00 p.m. Day care dogs out for afternoon walk and play.
3:45 p.m. Bunkhouse dogs inside
4:00 p.m. Gates open and daycare dogs begin going home.
4:30 p.m. Boarding dogs go out to the front field.
5:30 p.m. Boarding dogs in kennels and fed dinner.
6:00 p.m. Gates closed
8:00 p.m. Evening walk for both kennels.
9:30 p.m. All dogs are in their kennels, snacks given and lights out.

* Dogs are placed in the Bunkhouse based on the following:

  • Medical needs
  • Age
  • Social skills
  • Length of stay

Those who need more running time, dog interaction or those who are high energy are typically placed in the Barn. All dogs that are here for "day care only" will stay in the Barn. We separate dogs into groups based on temperament.
